At Suryabharathy Group,we believe that charity is not limited to financial aid or welfare alone – it also includes protecting the heartbeat of our culture and giving value to those who keep it alive. One such initiative was our humble step to honor the Pullikkali artists of Thrissur during the Onam season.
Pullikkali is more than just a festive performance – it is an expression of joy, unity, and Kerala’s vibrant cultural identity. Behind this celebration stand hundreds of dedicated artists who invest their time, energy, and passion, often without adequate recognition or support. Understanding this, In a special program at Thrissur Manikandalal, we provided financial assistance of ₹1 lakh each to 9 Pulikkali teams. This effort was made to ensure that the teams, who dedicate their time and energy to this vibrant folk art, receive the support they need to continue their work with pride and dignity.
The program was inaugurated by Thrissur Corporation Mayor M. K. Varghese, and graced by Corporation Councillors Poornima Suresh, A. K. Suresh, Rahulnath, TJKC Director Balan Kanimangalath, and cultural supporters Sreeshan Adiyat, Unni Viyyur, Baiju Kaladi along with our Founder Mr. K. P. Manojkumar and Foundation Director K. Kesavadas.
