Thrissur: Suryabharathi commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day with a dignified and inspiring programme at its Corporate Office in Thrissur. The National Flag was ceremonially hoisted by M. Pithambaran, Chairman of Sarvodaya Darshan.
In his address, M. Pithambaran called upon Suryabharathi to continue its journey with initiatives rooted in the ideals of Swaraj and the spirit of nation-building. Reflecting on India’s freedom struggle, he highlighted the enduring legacy of the movement led by Mahatma Gandhi, which remains unparalleled for its mass participation, commitment to non-violence, and profound impact on the nation’s history.

The programme was presided over by K. P. Manoj Kumar, Chairman of Suryabharathi Group. Pournima Suresh, Corporation Councillor, attended the function as the Chief Guest.

The occasion also featured the felicitation of C. S. Anandakrishnan, who had the honour of leading the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi. He was presented with a memento in recognition of his distinguished achievement.

The gathering was addressed by P. Santhosh Kumar, K. V. Madhu, Balan Kanimangalam, Thara Athiyadath,  Biju Attor, and K. Kesavadas.

The celebration was attended by the Directors of Suryabharathi Group, Heads of various departments, and members of the organisation, reflecting the collective spirit of patriotism and commitment that marked the occasion.
