Thrissur: Reinforcing its commitment to nurturing academic excellence and inspiring future generations, Surya Bharathi Group organised Surya Bharathi Scholars' Honour 2026, a special programme dedicated to recognising the outstanding achievements of students within the Surya Bharathi family.

The programme honoured the children of Surya Bharathi Group family members who secured full A+ grades in the SSLC and Higher Secondary examinations, celebrating their dedication, perseverance, and exceptional academic performance.

The event, hosted at the Surya Bharathi Corporate Office Auditorium in Thrissur, was inaugurated by A. Prasad, Deputy Mayor of Thrissur Corporation. Addressing the gathering, he urged students to expand their learning beyond the classroom and actively contribute to the creation of a responsible and progressive society. He also encouraged them to take a strong stand against substance abuse. Appreciating the efforts of Surya Bharathi Group, he noted that the organisation's inclusive and socially committed initiatives set a commendable example for others to follow.

Presiding over the function, K. P. Manoj Kumar, Chairman of Surya Bharathi Group, remarked that academic excellence should contribute not only to personal success but also to the progress of society. Highlighting the importance of practical knowledge, he noted that recognising and encouraging students' achievements is essential in inspiring them to strive for greater heights. He further stated that Surya Bharathi envisions meaningful social transformation through empowered individuals.

Social activist Kareem Pannithadam graced the occasion as the chief guest.The programme was also attended by Surya Bharathi Group leaders P. Santhosh Kumar, K. V. Madhu, Chinthu Satheesan, Indira Vijayan, Balan Kanimangalam, Thara Athiyadathu, Rajan Elavathoor, K. Kesavadas, and Biju Aattur.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of the brochure for the second phase of Kiran Bharath, Surya Bharathi's scholarship initiative, reaffirming the Group's commitment to supporting education and empowering deserving students.
