Suryabharathi Group’s New Publication Enters the Malayalam Media Landscape with a Strong Literary and Humanistic Vision

Carrying the colours of humanity and the message of equality, ‘Niram’, the latest publication from the Suryabharathi Group, was launched with a distinguished gathering of writers, readers, and cultural personalities.

The inaugural issue of the magazine was formally released by renowned writer and former President of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi K. Satchidanandan, who handed over the first copy to E. Santhosh Kumar, recipient of the prestigious Vayalar Award.

Speaking at the function, K. Satchidanandan emphasised that contemporary publications must uphold a strong tradition of critical engagement while nurturing literary awareness and thoughtful discourse among readers. He expressed the hope that ‘Niram’ would add a new dimension to Thrissur’s rich and celebrated tradition of periodical publishing.

The function was presided over by K. P. Manoj Kumar, Chairman of Suryabharathi Group and Managing Editor of ‘Niram’. He said that, through the richness of its words and ideas, ‘Niram’ would strive to create a lasting presence in the literary world.

Senior journalist M. P. Surendran delivered the keynote address. Writers and literary personalities T. K. Gangadharan, Dr. Hrishikeshan P. B., Madhavan Purachery, Preetha J. Priyadarshini, ‘Niram’ Editor Ashokan C. G., Assistant Executive Editor V. U. Surendran, Associate Editor K. R. Ajitha, caricaturist Santhosh, Suryabharathi PRO Biju Attor, along with Thara Athiyadath, Balan Kanimangalam, Madhu K., and Santhosh Kumar P., also addressed the gathering.

The event also witnessed the unveiling of the digital poster for ‘Shravana Sandhya’, the mega music show being organised by Mangalam Satellite TV under the Suryabharathi Group on August 27 at Central Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. The poster for ‘Onanilavu Mega Show’, scheduled to be held in Irinjalakuda, was also unveiled at the ceremony.

With its commitment to literature, culture, social awareness, and human values, ‘Niram’ begins its journey as a vibrant new voice in Malayalam publishing.
